Let Us Be United In Prayer. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

My dear Parishioners, Hope everyone keeping fine and doing well, as I continue to pray for all of you in my daily prayers and Holy Masses, I would like to bring this to your meditation.
The Catholic liberation theologian Gustavo Gutierrez said it best: “You say you care about the poor, then tell me, what their names are?” We need to pause carefully and ask ourselves Gutierrez’s question. Perhaps the next time we are preparing any post advocating on behalf of those most vulnerable, we might stop and ask ourselves, “When was the last time one of the people I’m talking about sat at my dinner table?” I think whenever we begin the lent season, we recall these sentences, “you are but dust, and to dust, you shall return” and “Repent and believe in the Gospels”. read more
